Start the game Legendary Axe II
Move around.
Screen starts to flicker.
I guess this is a layer-depending problem...

Yes, there is a lot of bug remaining in the original Hugo! core, which is far
from being really accurate. I once thought about getting into PCE hardware to
fix some of the stuff like I did in genplus but clearly lacked time (I never
owned or really played this system which does not really help bring motivated
either).

If you want to take this opportunity to get into emulator coding, please do.

Actually, i also never had the PCE Console too, but i think it's a nice little
thingy :)
I'd love to fix the emulator bugs, but i don't know anything about emulator -
coding (yet?)
Maybe you can give me some hints?

The only hint i can give you is to read documentation about PCE hardware online
(Charles MacDonald has wrote some nice ones), read tech forums about PCE, read
and understand what the current code is doing and why, etc.... That's how i
once started working on genesis plus gx to fix a bug in one of my favorite
games, i didn't know much more than you at that time ;-)
