Can't seem to build with the READ.ME

Can't resolve '@vector-im/element-web-ilag-module'

I can see it exists in the node modules so not sure what the problem is, I cleaned the cache and deleted the node modules, still the same issue...

Hey Oliver @Fox32, I'm assuming you managed to build from the source? I have been trying to use the npm but I'd prefer to build from the source, just didn't really understand how to, could you help me with that? Btw my matrix handle is @me:chagai.website thx!

Yeah, I built from source. I'm using the instructions over at element-web. Instead of supplying a repository or package, I just used a relative path in my package.json. I think you need to run yarn build both in the repository and in element-web at least once. Afterwards you can work with yarn start. Note that #6 is required for this to work.
