Notification icon shows badge for new unread messages, but not when message is in a thread

Steps to reproduce

• Start Element Desktop App.
• Close the app's window, so only the notification icon is visible.
• Ask somebody to send you a message.
• Check the notification icon.

Outcome

What did you expect?

The notification icon always shows a badge on any new unread message.

What happened instead?

The notification icon shows a badge on any new unread message as long as the message is not in a thread. If the message is in a thread, the badge does not appear on the notification icon.
