In the Video app, there is no way to know basic metadata information for a video clip.
This information is very useful for working with a video clip. For example, it allows me to know the quality of a clip to compare it with others, to know the technical reason why it looks good or looks bad. Or also to know which clips I am going to use in a video editor, according to their resolution, codec, year of capture, etc.
Proposal
Something like click on the option "show video properties". And a simple window or panel that displays basic information appears.

I think the default Gnome video app does that very well. It shows only the basic and relevant information.
