I have a fresh install of LibreELEC 11 / Kodi 20.
When I select the addon to open the install/configure/info dialog, Kodi instantly behaves weird, it switches a couple of times back and forth between the addon info view and the addons overview page, and then the system freezes completely.
This does not happen with other addons and I installed another program-addon without problems.

Could you provide kodi.log?

Well, I tried. Strangely enough, virtually nothing is logged; withhaving debug logging on, some more is shown.
kodi_log_excerpt.log
I tried to install the addon using a zip downloaded from Github directly and that worked.

Your log is not complete. The ~/.kodi/temp/kodi.log starts with info <general>: -----------------------------------------------------------------------, info <general>: Starting Kodi from (...) even from my Debian Kodi 20.1 install.

Could you report the script.tubecast version form when you install via the repository? I believe it is not the latest code, that might explain why it behaves differently from the github zip.
If the github zip is fine then the bug is already fixed in upstream code. Maybe a release with the latest fixes is necessary to get the fixes pushed to the kodi repository.

Also, do you have enable SSDP discovery enabled in tubecast configuration > general?

Attached you find the full log:
kodi.log

I'm downloading from the official Kodi repository (3.3.1), the add-on version is said to be 1.5.0+matrix.1

SSDP is enabled.
