So far we identified the case that if your resolver has "Content" (not Contenthash), the migration button is likely to fail. We are looking to solve the problem so if you encounter one of the issues, please comment your domain name (or the resolver you use) under the comment.

resolver migration not working for me for two domains:

  • nathanquarles.eth
  • allianz.eth

@1SPIRIT there is no deadline to migrate resolver and the latest resolver can be found at https://etherscan.io/address/resolver.eth

We are struggling a bit to find out why this happens.
@jefflau deployed a version with a more debugging message. Can you try the migration at http://ensappdev.surge.sh and paste us error logs on web inspector console?

I seem to be able to migrate here, i.e. metamask pop-up with transaction to be signed, I have not done so.

Both in dev and prod I see disabled "Migrate" button and unable to click it.

"You’re using an outdated version of the public resolver, Click to migrate your resolver and records. You will need to confirm two transactions in order to migrate both your records and resolver."

I get the same message as @wighawag on all my domains, for instance philh.eth

@poocart are you logged into the manager as 0xc9c56808d48aa5a22abd8532b350dbd99cda3916 ? Greyed out usually indicate that you don't have a right to modify the name

@makoto thank you, you're right! I have 2 ENS domains linked to different addresses, but didn't remember until now that I used the other one to register both, thanks! However, even though I'm now able to press on "migrate" button, after doing so I get error:

In lieu of migrating, can the app not allow us to simply register a new resolver and let us re-register addresses and content hashes?

@donaldwazowski Apologies, I did receive your email and I was looking into it, but have yet to figure out why it's not working atm. I have added a way to manually change the resolver instead of migrating, so you can try that (you will need to manually migrate all records as well)

I see I still have the same issue that everyone else above has @makoto :/ Migration worked with the link suggested http://ensappdev.surge.sh/ - just as an FYI for whomever else comes here via google

Running into this issue and there doesn't appear to be any viable solution besides reregistering with a different Ethereum address. I can see I'm able to set my Primary ENS Name to the name I registered, but the Registrant and Controller fields are set to No address found which just links to null. The Transfer buttons are grayed out as a result.

I get the

To reset your resolver manually, click set and enter the address of your custom resolver.

but Migrate and Set are grayed out. The dev site that people with my issue suggested worked is now offline so that's not a viable workaround.

When my wallet is disconnected, I have the option to register (for x years). If I do this with the same wallet my domain is held, will this resolve my problem? Would like to know before i spend the gas...

It appears that all of you are looking at expired domains. Please register the domains again as if you are not the owner you cannot do anything on the domain.

You should be able to click register and register with the same ethereum address

It appears that all of you are looking at expired domains. Please register the domains again as if you are not the owner you cannot do anything on the domain.

Yes, but how do I reregister? When I'm connected to the domain, there is no option to register. it just says already registered. Plus, when I'm disconnected to the domain, it shows the option to register but when i click the button to pay nothing happens...

Stuck in the same place as others, arimatech.eth, old resolver, expired ENS registration. I can't re-register it (as it says it's currently registered). I was able to change my reverse record however.

I am seeing this same issue and it also appears I am using the latest resolver.

Edit: I figured it out, you get this error when your wallet is not connected.

Hi, I can't see migrate button either, only the fact the resolver is outdated.

UPDATE: It looked like the ENS app was down/not up to date this morning.
This now worked out! I managed to update the resolver.
