Chat refusing to autoscroll

I'm having chats on some devices refuse to automatically scroll to the latest message no matter how many times I put it at the bottom of the chat. Have tried signing out of all devices and signing back in without success. The common factor may be ChromeOS with scaling (HDPI screen). If I switch to native resolution it seems like the problem does not occur.

Also sometimes messages will come in but the chat won't be scrollable. Will have to click to a different chat and click back to get the chat to scroll.

After further testing I'm sure it's HDPI on ChromeOS. May occur on other operating systems, not sure. The chat will try to scroll to the bottom but not actually scroll to the bottom, and then it will get stuck because it's not at the bottom.
