Background

Mycroft is the world’s first open source voice assistant.

Our software runs on many platforms—on desktop, our Mycroft Mark 1, or on a Raspberry Pi. This is open source software which can be freely remixed, extended, and improved. Mycroft may be used in anything from a science project to an enterprise software application.

website: https://mycroft.ai/

repo: https://github.com/MycroftAI/mycroft-core

Checklist

  • A maintained container for this application exists (https://hub.docker.com/r/mycroftai/docker-mycroft/)
  • The license for this application is known (Apache 2.0)
  • There are existing Kubernetes manifests for this application (LINK HERE)
  • There is an existing helm chart for this application (LINK HERE)
  • There is an existing operator for this application (LINK HERE)

Additional information

It's possible mycroft core can't really run in a Kubernetes environment due to its need to have access to a microphone device, however it would still be nice to be able to host pieces like the STT/TTS engine and configure a mycroft instance to point to them. Something fancy with a networked microphone/speakers could be cool as well, if that exists.
