How I get my best work done:

I appreciate chunks of solitary focus time and then scheduled meets to check in. I'm not great at continuous chat or unscheduled calls because I struggle to focus properly

The role I usually take in a team:

Happy with whatever role that's most helpful in the particular dynamic, and it depends how comfortable I am with the subject matter

My communication style:

I think I am calm, direct, and relatively brief... I am not verbose. Would rather get to the point fast

What I value:

Setting clear deadlines and sticking to them. Regular updates on progress

What people misunderstand about me:

Some people think I seem scary or unfriendly at first. The reality is quite the opposite, but it might take you a minute to realise that!

How I like to get my feedback:

direct proactive and constructive feedback is always welcome. Would love to discuss solutions as well as problems, and be positive about things

Technical strengths & weaknesses:

Coding is new to me so I'm a technical newbie, but made some good progress over the last few months

Interests (programming or otherwise!):

I'm interesting in where coding can support investigative journalism and reporting in general
