Could you possibly right-click the Firefox application in the menu, select Edit Application, then go to the 3rd tab and check your "Command" matches this?

image

the full "Command" to check for is /usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=firefox --file-forwarding org.mozilla.firefox @@u %u @@, but only the first word matters in this context

Additionally, have you restarted Feren OS since installing Firefox?

Hi, thanks for the response. It shows exactly what you stated for the full command. Alright, could you open the Konsole application and type this into it followed by pressing ENTER?:

/usr/bin/flatpak run org.mozilla.firefox "https://example.com"

...and then reply with the text that appears in Konsole?

Here you go: Gtk-Message: 18:02:43:561: Failed to load module "xapp-gtk3-module" On Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 04:30:14 PM MST, Dominic Hayes - Feren OS Dev @.> wrote: Hi, thanks for the response. If the only line of text is Gtk-Message: 18:02:43:561: Failed to load module "xapp-gtk3-module", then it hasn't crashed nor exited unless there is second spewing of the text you see before typing in that /usr/bin/flatpak text below it. Does the text you see on the left of where you type in /usr/bin/flatpak ... appear below the aforementioned line as well?

Please try typing the following into Konsole, followed by pressing ENTER:

pkexec flatpak repair flathub org.mozilla.firefox

Authenticate when prompted, wait for the prior green text to be shown afterwards, then try launching Firefox again.

If that doesn't work, please try typing the following into Konsole, followed by pressing ENTER:

mv ~/.var/app/org.mozilla.firefox ~/.var/app/org.mozilla.firefox.bak

(ignore an error about 'no such file or directory' if you see one upon ENTER-pressing)
Then try launching Firefox again.

FYI, Firefox wouldn't open this morning. I ran the line you gave me before in Konsole and tried to open Firefox. Got a message saying it was already running and I needed to close it before trying to open it again. I didn't know how to close it so I restarted the computer and then Firefox would open. Any idea why this keeps happening? Sounds like a Firefox issue at that point...?
