Could you possibly right-click the Firefox application in the menu, select Edit Application, then go to the 3rd tab and check your "Command" matches this?

Additionally, have you restarted Feren OS since installing Firefox? |

Yes, I have restarted Feren since installing it. I just checked again and it is still doing the same thing.

If the only line of text is Gtk-Message: 18:02:43:561: Failed to load module "xapp-gtk3-module", then it hasn't crashed nor exited unless there is second spewing of the text you see before typing in that /usr/bin/flatpak text below it. Does the text you see on the left of where you type in /usr/bin/flatpak ... appear below the aforementioned line as well?

The very first thing it prints when I open Konsole does not reprint after I type that line and hit enter. When I go to close Konsole it says there is a process still running in this window, am I sure I want to quit? So it seems to be locked up in some process and I can't do anything else in Konsole. Please try typing the following into Konsole, followed by pressing ENTER: Authenticate when prompted, wait for the prior green text to be shown afterwards, then try launching Firefox again. If that doesn't work, please try typing the following into Konsole, followed by pressing ENTER: (ignore an error about 'no such file or directory' if you see one upon ENTER-pressing) |

The first line seems to have done the trick. After it finished processing I was able to open Firefox. I went to several web sites and then loaded my bookmark backup file. It's working just fine now. I really appreciate your help.

FYI, Firefox wouldn't open this morning. I ran the line you gave me before in Konsole and tried to open Firefox. Got a message saying it was already running and I needed to close it before trying to open it again. I didn't know how to close it so I restarted the computer and then Firefox would open. Any idea why this keeps happening?
