Keyboard issue

For the past couple of weeks i've had a keyboard issue> here is again> many keys will not work: for example the period is not working nor is the comma< slash below the ?< semi colon< the other slash< brackets< dash< equal sign< no numbers on either pad< caps [sometimes] unless I use cap locks. I have 2 more keyboards and they do the same thing. Restarting fixes it for a while, and suddenly just now they are fixed and I did nothing to fix them. I did just hit the cap lock a couple of times but I've done that before to no avail. I updated the nvidia drivers. Are there more drivers that could be updated? I don't know how to find them if that is the issue. I have looked. It happens on browsers and also on programs on the computer.

How does the keyboard connect, bluetooth, USB, or embedded into the device?

It connects by USB

I have switched usb ports and it didn't help. Mainly restarting the computer is what fixes it temporarily.

Could this be a problem? I don't really understand the report but there is an error of some sort.
