How do you prevent the background from refreshing when you open a modal?

I assume you'd use something like wire:ignore or wire:ignore.self, but not sure how you'd do that with Filament resources. Why is this happening? Is it a bug? If so, will it be fixed and is there a workaround in the meantime?

This is especially frustrating when using something like Google Maps b/c it resets the zoom and markers.
