We should consider the following (at least one of which undoes a previous change):

Write to the driver.log file:

sys.argv
A dump of context specific env variables
(Restore) task completion records, perhaps abbreviated.

Write to the engine.log file all env variables.

Given that these logs are mostly for our consumption, I don't think a bit more info can hurt.
