Hello 👋 Thank you for taking the time to open this issue with floccus. I know it's frustrating when software One last word: If you feel, at any point, like you need to vent, this is not the place for it; you can go to the Nextcloud forum, I look forward to working with you on this issue |
Mmmh, that's strange. Can you
This might fix it. |
Thank you, but I am sorry, that trick didn't help. I already have deleted all bookmarks, started to sync, restored only some bookmarks and synced, without success. That bug is new, I don't know what to do :/ Can I anonymize any logs without posting all my favs? so long |
Yes, in the profile settings you can download redacted logs :) |
ah thank! Would be very pleased about your help! so long |
Thank you for providing the log file! So, I see roughly a 50 bookmarks difference in the last sync run that is in that log file, is that about the amount of bookmarks that you are missing? These 50 bookmarks all seem to be successfully created on the server in that last sync run, though. |
In the beginning of the log file there are the trees with the redacted bookmarks. Can you point out some bookmarks or folders that you believe to be missing on the server? |
In "Bookmarks Bar" are 3 missing, for example 'cmORVcKznBDw'. thx! edit: yes that 50 bookmarks are correct. |
Since the log of the last sync run tells me that the bookmarks are all created on the server successfully, it may be that a different browser is set to "Push sync" and will delete them all again regularly? Could you check the activity app in Nextcloud? It should the history of things that happened in your bookmarks. |
Thank you! That's really weird, at the activity tab it's created, but it's not on the server. no other browser is going to sync. Is there a limit about the count of bookmarks? thx! update: I deleted all bookmarks, only synced 50 most important bookmarks and 3 are missing... that's so crazy :/ |
Perhaps it's a display issue of the bookmarks app then. Can you try installing floccus on a new browser and syncing down? Let's see if that produces all the bookmarks again. |
Syncing down has been without success, because the bookmarks are missing on the server, so it's not a display issue. Now I have tried a new Firefox profile, imported all the bookmarks and started to sync aaaaaand it's the same! so it must be a nextcloud bookmark issue :/ |
It's very strange. Which version of nextcloud bookmarks is this? Can you try emptying your trash in Nextcloud bookmarks? |
14.2.4. I have emptied the trashbin, and now it works! omg! thank you!! I have tried to sync and clean it so often, that, I am pretty sure, there have been too many bookmarks. During the deletion progress there have been errors like "unable to count bookmarks". |
Awesome! I'll keep this open until I've found the bug in Nextcloud Bookmarks. |
