It would be great to be able to optionally pick a more neutral icon for the extension as an alternative to the standard one.
As the standard one is rather colorful, it falls out of line compared to many other more minimal icons, especially when in plain sight all the time:
I suggest to just use a very simple star icon in svg format (e.g. from font awesome: http://fontawesome.io/icon/star/) and provide a color picker in the extension options, similar to how it's available in the following extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/apps-launcher/ijmgkhchjindcjamnckoiahagecjnkdc https://github.com/gregolsky/chrome-app-launcher

My personal preference for the color is #808080. It's in the middle of the spectrum and works well with both bright and dark themes.
