Hi. As far as i understand, there was a change in alsa recently, that causes some midi port names to no longer be unique (discussed here: https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=24822,). In my setup, I use two instances of sooperlooper and until recently, I was able to distinguish between them by the port name when using sendmidi: sendmidi list showed them as "sooperlooper (1)" and "sooperlooper (2)". But now, when i run sendmidi list, they both appear as just "sooperlooper".
Would it be possible to workaround this issue somehow on your side - for example using also client name or something else unique when listing ports or adding index number if some ports have the same name?
Thank you.
