Hi all,
I'm reaching out to check if the project is still active. Not as a user, but as a GeoTools developer. In particular, in GeoTools we have the "geobuf" module that (I think!) geoscript is currently using, which has an outdated dependency towards Google's protobuf. Updating to the latest involves handling a few deprecated method replacements.
I've asked on the PR there about it, but received no follow up. I've now checked the history of geoscript-groovy, the latest commit seems one year old...
Will there be any activity in terms of that upgrade? If not, would removing the geobuf module from GeoTools significantly affect geoscript?

The geobuf module in GeoTools has been removed. If anyone wants to revive it, we're happy to accept pull requests to accomplish that, along with fresh dependency upgrades.
