Accessing home folders / folders without permissions

I'm currently using an old macbook dual booting with mac and linux, but for some reason the linux partition won't boot. I wanted to use this to make sure I wouldn't lose any data, but all my data is in my home folder which I don't have permissions to access. How would I be able to access the folder?

Just to be clear, everything else seems to work.

You can use -o defer_permissions. See #62.
