Exporting Only Drawover Annotations

Could we add a feature so that we can export just the annotations made in mrv2 as images in a selected folder and not every single frame in the session?

Hi @Runenash ! Just to clarify, you don't mean File->Save->Annotations Only? That will export a sequence of frames or a movie file with just the annotations as white/alpha channel images.

Hi and thank you @ggarra13 for the timely response! Sorry for replying so late. I suppose what I'm asking for is for mrv2 to export only the annotated frames (which includes both the video and the annotations on top of it) Ex: if annotations are made on frame 5 and 7, it would only export frame 5 and 7 with both the video bg and the annotations.

Right now, File->Save->Annotations Only exports the entire video sequence and also only as white/alpha channel images. I hope my explanation makes sense, I'm willing to try and explain again if I've been unclear.

If you are using a latest version of mrv2 (like the recently released v1.3.5) when you go to File->Save->Annotations Only, there's a new "Annotation Frames Only" which should do what you want. And to save jpegs, you should set the filename to "test.jpg".

I just did a reinstall for the updated v1.3.5 and whilst the frames are now correct, it still only exports out the annotations alone when using Save -> Annotations Only. I have provided some images below incase I'm still unclear. Right now the result I would get is A, but I was hoping there would be an option so the exported annotations would be like B. Meaning it would include the video background as well.

If there is already such a function, I apologize if I've missed it somewhere

Yes. Use "File->Save Movie or Sequence" and select "Annotations Frames Only". That should what want.
