I'd like to know how GitLens check whether a repo is publicly- or privately-hosted? Is it per-project checking or if one of my project is non public-hosted, the pro functions are not available for every project?

I installed GitLens for VS Code and in a open source project with remote hosted publicly in https://github.com/KingMario/folder4index.
But while I want to view the git tree and operate it, I got this
