The upcoming Go 1.24 introduces a new file system related type: os.Root, which may affect go-billy's design space.

So I'm opening this issue to start a discussion. Thoughts?

@infogulch let's focus the discussions around upstream's io/fs integration on #101. so I am closing this to avoid duplication.
