Contributing to DataLab

Our goal is to build a complete interactive environment for working with code and data, and a productive tool that integrates well with Google Cloud Platform. We've only just started, and there are several ways you can help us.

Feel free to fork, and work on your contribution. For larger ones, we appreciate creating an issue as the first step, and discuss the idea, and brainstorm it further.

Here are some ideas to get started.

• Samples, samples, and samples - we hope to build a gallery of interesting notebooks, that show how you can effectively use Cloud Datalab and Google Cloud Platform to do interesting things with data.

• Support for more data sources - whether its Cloud SQL, or Bigtable, or even MongoDB, data exists in a variety of storage platforms. We'd like to see Datalab go beyond BigQuery, esp. with data access via SQL.
