Option to fetch images of a certain size

I'd like to use this such that the link thumbnailer finds the images that are largest displayed on the given URL. An option to specify that I want it to return the largest possible images would be useful for this.

Hm, currently it's not possible. It would require to expose the image comparator class so that you can implement your own, just like with Graders do with website description.
