A very basic page is needed on this website that provides a guide for students to get started.

Probably two:

  • one for CS/IT students
  • one for students of disciplines where programming is essential but it is 100% applied and they are not interested in theory & methodology

Following on from #3 (comment) , there is lots of useful tools to help people find how to get started, including some methods created for Besut Kode.

For translation, I strongly recommend Weblate, as those contributions can appear in GitHub as green dots.

https://github.com/besutkode/uni-task-1/ has been improved upon & simplified as the translation series of tasks in https://github.com/BesutKode/sma2017-tugas/tree/master/tugas

http://wikimedia-id.github.io/besutkode/university-activity-repositories-en.html provided a list of useful activities for students to undertake to increase their basic understanding of contributing to open source.

For students wanting to do an Android project, coding-blocks/GSoC-Info-Android#9 is a project they can show their skills with.
