We sometimes use large-ish chunks of JS in EXEC blocks to prepare, for example, content for tables. This works fine, but it causes the template itself to become quite crowded, and the rendered DOCX to look quite different from the template (because the content shifts around quite a bit due to the EXEC blocks disappearing).

This has lead some of us to do workarounds like making the font for EXEC blocks extremely small, or putting all of the code in it into a single line (as far as possible), so that they don't take up too much visual space.

What I'd like to be able to do instead is to put those blocks into text comments. That way, they'd be localized quite clearly, so it's still obvious where some piece of data is defined, but they'd be "out of the way" of the regular content.

Would it be possible to add something like this?

Hello, we tried to solve the issue.

This is what we did:

Implement the ability to execute JavaScript code from text comments in the document template. This will allow users to keep the template cleaner while still maintaining the functionality of EXEC blocks.
