Neighborly is a social connection platform that brings State Farm employees together using gamified challenges and rewards. Our goal is to reduce social isolation, build relationships, and foster communication across the State Farm team.
Users are given weekly challenges, such as meeting an employee from another department for coffee, attending a tech talk, or helping someone on RocketChat. As users complete these challenges, Neighborly verifies their task completion using image recognition powered by TensorFlow. Users earn points for each task they complete, and can redeem these points for small rewards such as gift cards, a free beverage, or free State Farm swag. Neighborly also has a leaderboard system that ranks users based on the points they've earned, allowing for friendly competition and point bonuses for top performers.
As an organization grows in size and complexity, communication between teams can break down. Neighborly fixes that in a fun, approachable way that makes it easy to build relationships with other teams and foster strong sense of community among the State Farm neighborhood.
