[BUG] Deployment tarball may contain ignored files in some scenarios #30

Describe the Bug
Files that are in the .gitignore can make it in the tarball when deploying to Heroku in some instances making the payload larger than necessary.
This happens when files that were previously tracked get added to the gitignore without first deleting them, committing and then adding the pattern to .gitignnore

Fix is forthcoming.
