Usability / UI

  • Button widgets for most of the Render menu options.
  • Expand / Collapse shortcuts (X/C)
  • Remember expand/collapse state per type.
  • Keep Textures (SizedString array) always expanded. It's incredibly irritating to expand every time.
  • Copy/Paste Over for array items (e.g. Vertex Colors) in groups and individually.
  • Hide/Unhide blocks (e.g. NiTriShapes) in Render View.

Rendering

  • Havok toggle (H), plus Wireframe/Fill mode toggle. This makes it extremely easy to test "coverage" of collision.
  • Vertex Color toggle plus shortcut (V).
  • Texture display toggle plus shortcut (T)
  • Force double sided toggle
  • Wireframe toggle
  • A "Flat/Bright" lighting toggle, which bypasses the current light settings.
  • Point size (vertex dot size on screen)
  • Handle length (normal/tangent/binormal size on screen)

Far Future (v2.0+)

  • Click-select for Vertices, Normals, Vertex Colors, etc.
  • Drag-select for multiple Vertices, "
  • Transform gizmo
    • Translate/Scale objects
    • Translate vertices
  • Undo
