So I managed to install the extension without issue, and selected the layout within my settings. I'm using it right now (although I'll admit it's taking longer than I care to admit to hunt down apostrophes and things like that. But it is not converting the input to Hiragana/Katakana? Screenshot is what you see for the Chrome OS Japanese input settings, followed by a screenshot of how it looks when inputting characters.
