No longer possible to pair, constant disconnects @ Nanoleaf Essentials -> Nest -> HA

Since update to 7.0.0 I'm having disconnects and offline devices. When trying to re-pair those devices I can no longer add them to HA.
currently I have 2 devices stable ever since before v7, 3 others lost connection and I cannot bring them back. Thread-Coverage should be as good as ever. I have 4 Nest as Thread-Border-Routers over 3 floors and that was sufficient before.

I've tried 3 approaches (all of them several times over the last week with very long settling times between steps):

1. reset the device, add it to Nanoleaf-App, then connect to HA-Matter
2. reset the device, add it to Nanoleaf-App, then connect to Google-Home, then to HA-Matter
3. reset the device, HA->integration->Add Matter device

Sometimes I get a new Matter-device with this procedure (in the trace as well) but it's not really working: turn off the lights -> works after 20s delay -> turn it on -> nothing and nothing for a long time and at some point it goes offline, never to be seen again.

According to the Nanoleaf-App the devices are connected to Nest's thread and I can get them to work with google, but not HA.
All of them fail to connect the device to HA. I've reset the matter-addin several times.

I tried to run the pairing (first variant) to get a trace from it with log-level set to "progress". I can see the log spammed with "[chip.native.CTL]�[0m Discovered device to be commissioned over DNS-SD" and some timeouts.

Half of my house is using these lights and not having light in the dark corners is a big issue for us. Please help!

Best way to get support is join discord. Me and a lot of community members active there to get support.
HA discord server, channel is "related tech" to create issues.
