Please revert German translation of "away" back to "abwesend" - "außerhalb" ist simply incorrect

Hi,
with a recent update, device trackers started displaying "außerhalb" in the (German) UI, if someone is away. Previously, this was "abwesend", which is a correct and adequate translation of "away".

"Außerhalb" on the other hand does not even mean the right thing, it means "outside of", in contexts like "outside of Germany", "outside of your comfort zone" etc. (See? "Away" doesn't make sense in any of these contexts. Why? Well, it's a different word with a different meaning.)

I can think of no reason why this change was even considered to make sense, can it please be changed back? My HA interface now looks like a cheap device from Ali Express with badly translated UI 😆

Recommend to discuss on Lokalise, there you can discuss with your specific language leaders on specific keys directly (or make the change yourself)

I saw that already. But it was not clear to me how I can easily report this there.

Am I missing something here or are you suggesting I join a platform that costs me (although it has admittedly a 14 day free trial), to report a one word translation error in an open source project?

It does not cost anything to join or contribute translations to Lokalise. I'm not sure what their arrangement is with NabuCasa but it is 100% free for contributors to commit translations for any length of time.

I'm not stopping you from asking, but it's just much less likely that the right person will see your comment here.

I'm merely pointing out that that's where translation work happens, and if you would like to be a part of it, that's where you can go.
