Brightness presets (buttons)

I would like to request an improvement to the device control UI and while I'm initially asking because of dimmable lights, this would apply to all controllable device types.

A dimmable light control currently has two controls: a 0-100 slider and a power (toggle) button. I would like to have the ability to enable additional preset buttons both globally and overridable on a per-device/entity basis. It would be nice if there was a hierarchy such as:

1. Global (all types)
2. Global (per type)
3. Floor (all types)
4. Floor (per type)
5. Area (all types)
6. Area (per type)
7. Device

I thought about using scenes, but with a large number of lights, that would be a very large number of scenes. I was hoping for more of a configuration that would apply across the board but still be customizable on a per-device/entity basis.

Like, say, every dimmable light has five options: 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% or maybe four options: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. But then for certain lights, I could customize that.

I'm migrating from HomeSeer, which is a feature that HomeSeer has on every device, not just dimmables.

For example, here are one of my Z-Wave fans and one of my Insteon dimmable lights in HomeSeer. The controls and status are independently configurable as well as the displayed icon based on the device's status. The "Status/Graphics" tab is available on every device.
