Original title: Defined variables cannot work in a bind with exec, for hyprctl in a submap in the hyprland.conf file
This section is not the actual cause
As demonstrated below, variables set in
hyprland.conf
cannot be used in a keybinding, exec, for hyprctl, I've tested by sending those variables to notification daemon both inside and outside the submap respectively, and they’re shown correctly.Specifying values directly works as those commented lines, but not when specifying variables.
I think mostly it’s the bind in the submap that cannot use those variables, when I press the keybinding for the first time after reload, it works find, but not inside the submap.
Edit: Actual cause
It turns out that
input:repeat_delay
specified beforeinput:repeat_rate
inhyprctl --batch
causes the problem, weird. I first set the number withinput:repeat_rate
beforeinput:repeat_delay
, but lately decided to put in opposite order when setting with variables, thus confused me to think that was the variable stuff issue. Is this indeed a bug, should I post an issue of it?
