Display store view name

I was wondering if there is any way to display the store view name rather than the language/language code?

Would this be possible to do by editing the languages.phtml code or the StoreSwitchModel.php code?

This is not an issue, just a feature request. If I've posted this in the wrong section, feel free to remove this or I could delete this post.
