is it safe to change
[pathname,name,ext,versn] = fileparts(handles.monprof);
to
[pathname,name,ext] = fileparts(handles.monprof); %

Changed as above, it seems that parameter versn won't be used anywhere in the program, and don't have any errors, but I'm just not sure.
