Viewing digital signatures

If an digital signature has been applied, I would like to verify it and check the details.

I've downloaded a few test files with digital signatures and they all seem to render correctly, so I'm not sure what the problem is here. Would you be able to:

1. Provide an example file where you see an issue with this
2. Describe what you expect to see
3. Describe what you actually see and how that differs (this can be a screenshot)
