Is plugin required if Certbot is running on server behind HAProxy #18

Hi,
can I use this validation plugin if Certbot is running on a server "behind" HAProxy?
If yes, what is the relevant configuration considering

SSL termination on HAProxy
Any communication on port 80 is redirected to port 443
