Question: Is my user protected? "Protect User" doesn't do anything now #185

So, I think I protected my user when I first ran NMC with the current version but now there's an "x" for the Username Protection setting. My recovery email and override username are both populated.

If I click on the option then I see a dialog pop up but when I click on "Protect Username" nothing happens.

Can you verify that my user is protected? Perhaps this is just a small issue which occurs if the username is already protected rather than putting a checkmark for the option?

  • Windows version: 10 Professional 10.0.19041
  • NMC version 1.10.1

  • Absolute path to your NMS install directory: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky

Your username isn't protected - this is a feature that has been a reoccurring headache for everyone, and will probably be removed in a future update.
