A number of reported issues would have been avoided had there been an automated test suite with good code coverage on 32- and 64-bit Python2/3. @philres any suggestions? My Python skills are getting quite rusty and I was never good at Python test suites.

Hi Jeff,

sorry I did not forget about that, but work has been very busy lately again.
I'm not an expert in automated python testing myself, but I'll talk to a colleague about this.
