could you maybe post a screenshot, or even better, a video of the issue? |
According to the status page opensubtitles API has been having issues this month :/ I just tried logging in and it works, can you check if its working for you now? If its not working can you try using the default API key (leave the key field blank) and maybe check if you can open https://api.opensubtitles.com/api/v1/login (you should see something like |
Same issue here |
That message indicates that the username does not exist (afaik), are you sure that the account you're trying to log into is an opensubtitles.com account and not .org? Also, any chance that the username is using some non-standard characters? |
That was 100% my issue. Thanks for the clarification! |
What message is shown, is there anything in server logs? Are you able to log into opensubtitles.com with the credentials you entered? As for the login page, I really don't know how it could be made more clearer, the top says to enter the opensubtitles.com account info and the bottom says that you can either register or import the account from .org |
When I click the import account link it opens the .com site. The error displayed is the same as in the original report. It may be a "password too long" error as I reduced my password from 40+ characters to under 16 and I was able to connect. Which account is actually used? I now have a different password on .org and .com, what would happen if I went back and tried to import my account from .org? |
Yes, the .com is the new website, old accounts can be imported from the old .org website into the new one
I tested this just now and I was able to log in with a 64 character password, I believe your case is probably the same as this one
The plugin uses the new API which is on opensubtitles.com so the account on the .com domain is used
I do not know, you'd have to ask opensubtitles For people who have issues with logging in and find this thread:
