The url mentioned in the repo description no longer redirects to the correct page. Instead, it now redirects to some gambling webpage.

The xdelta.org domain expired in March 2024 or April 2024 and was purchased from GoDaddy by a squatter.

The last good version is:

https://web.archive.org/web/20240204050040/http://xdelta.org/

But the last update was more than eight years ago.

The intent of the squatter is clearly deception and exploitation of likeness. I'm not entirely sure what legally can be done besides public awareness but there are a whole lot of places that unfortunately link to that site. Wikipedia for example

Ironically I ran into xdelta while trying to figure out why pbzip2/mpibzip were also hijacked.
