I sometimes find myself skipping chapters. This essentially breaks the resume function. Since clicking the resume button would now take me to the first skipped chapter instead.
Long pressing resume button currently does nothing. I propose two solutions:
Long pressing resume button goes from top to bottom and search for first read chapter and resume from there.
Long pressing resume button resumes from the last read position. Same as history.
Both these options have their pros and cons. The cons being:
If you read ahead, say 100 chapters, to take a peek and come back and start reading, long pressing the resume button would take you back 100 chapters ahead.
Say you peek ahead or look back at already read chapters, it will now resume to those chapters instead.
I am biased towards option 1, since you can just unread those few chapters and it will work as intended. In option 2, I would be reluctant to read ahead or revisiting older chapters.
Another solution might be to just show these few options in a box before the chapter list.
