Hi @SheepDomination

Sorry, I'm not clear about what you want to do.

Do you want backups to be saved to a folder on your computer where they can can be read by your email client?

Hi @SheepDomination

Which email client do you want to use?

For Thunderbird there is an export command that takes the backed up emails and outputs a format that works with that client.

Allowing an email client to read imap-backup's backup directly will probably cause problems, as most email client modify the files on disk.

Without knowing which client you wish to use, it is difficult to help.

I want all email to be synced and backup to Mail Plus email client which exist on my NAS.

I've searched for a way to do this without much luck. I have the impression you would have to set up an import via the MailPlus user interface.

I did get the Sync to work except it placed not all the emails, it missed about 200 into a folder based on the email address instead of the inbox for Mail Plus. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with Mail Plus Server but I didn't really set up Mail Plus Server other then setup the domain for which I wanted to run IMAP Sync with.

This email account which I'm using has been down for almost three months and its my primary email account, so I don't know what email is bouncing back or that has been stopped. I guess it depends on the server sending the mail. It did work, I just don't understand why if I setup mail plus for this primary email account, why did IMAP Sync place all the emails except 200 although they are still on the mail server all the emails, into a folder based on the email account name, instead of Mail Plus Inbox ?
