Tapping along with the song while it's playing is a quick and convenient way to place events. You can kind of do this in the notes view by clicking, but you can't do the same in the events view because it drops the event under the mouse as opposed to the current time. So what I'm imagining is that if you click on the label of a track, it adds an event at the current time (respecting snapping).
