Latest binary release does not work with latest terraform

As terraform changed their plugin API, the latest binary release does not work with the current terraform. A simple rebuild against the current terraform version fixes this problem, but it would be really useful to have an official binary build that can be reused. Any chances of adding a new binary release compiled against the current terraform?
