Hello,

this looks really interesting.

But you haven't given any project information, that let's our potential users know what it can do, and what the state of the project is. Is it stable? Where is the project going? Are there known limitations or bugs? Do you have goals with this projects not accomplished yet(roadmap).

Also some basic install instructions would be nice, like packages required, does it work with python2 and/-or python3, and how do you actually setup/run such a gpgfs filesystem.

You don't need to write a long text, but it'd be really helpful to have SOMETHING.

Right now I think this project seems dead to most people, but install and usage instructions can really change that impression. If this really works and is stable, it would deserve some articles online and definitely could get a lot of attention.

Greeting

I just discovered this project and found it interesting for storing small private notes.
If you are still interested, you may want to check out my pull request.

About the state of the code: It works and i encourage you to test it.
I think it is fair to say, that this is still in an alpha/beta state and you need to be aware that you are using it at your own risk.

Since storing/retrieving a file will always fire up GPG - and that takes a few seconds - , i think it is more useful for fewer small files.

UPDATE: Symlinks and chattr are not implemented yet.
Also, storing/retrieving files eats up a lot of CPU and takes its time.
Best field of application seems to be fewer files with not-so-frequent access.
