Android 8 Badge is not showing in application

Badge is not showing in Android 8 version device

Probably because your launcher doesn't support ShortcutBadger.
Any movement on fixing this yet? This is a kind of critical issue.

Any update on this as we are having the same issue? Is there a way to modify the APK generated by PhoneGap and add the native Android calls for badges?
