there a way to see the breakdown by subregion of a particular stat within a region (without having to manually add each subregion to the "compare to:" function)? I was shocked that Utah had more uninsured ppl than West Virginia, but I realized that it might be bc of rez residents in Utah. So it could be interesting to see uninsured rates within each congressional district, or county, or w/e within Utah to explain interesting results.

(without manually adding every sub region to the compare function)

Oooh this is very interesting... maybe we allow expanding a stat row and then what shows up is completely contained subregions of a selectable type... Do we have a distinction between partially contained and totally contained relationships currently?

Contained relationship theoretically means completely contained, though there is some wiggle room in the definition because GIS data is always a bit approximate

Maybe we could do a basic mapper in the article view

And you can hover over other regions to get their stats

Ok "hover over shape to get stats popover" is a good feature on its own, turned in to #845
