Respawning in cave dimension.

I've been having an issue where I sometimes respawn in a random place in the cave dimension I died in instead of in the overworld, every time this happens I have to enable cheats just to navigate back to my portal, which usually is pretty far away. (Sometimes hundreds of blocks)
Whenever this occurs the place where I keep respawning is different, for example, yesterday I got stuck in a death loop when I kept respawning at the bottom of a lava lake, the next time it happened I kept respawning in a totally different area.

I've found that the only thing I can do to fix this is to use a bed in the mining dimension I'm in after coming through the portal.
I don't know why this happens, but I've tested it and it also happens with only this mod.

RAM: 20GB DDR3 (2x 8gb, 2x 2gb)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 1050 TI OC
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

A possible solution could be to wait until the player's portal cooldown is over and set their personal spawn point to their current position, that will ensure that players are always going to respawn within just a few blocks from the portal, and the portal cooldown should not count while a player is still in the portal.
