Go to Bluetooth pairing on the phone. hit FUN+2 on the keyboard. PREOINIC #2 appears in the device list.
Select it and wait. PREONIC on the device list says "pairing". Don't touch any keys on the keyboard. After thirty seconds or so the Pixel reports "Can't communicate with F8:.....".
Start again. hit FUN+2 on the keyboard and PREONIC appears on the device list again. select it. This time, hit one or two keys on the keyboard. The Pixel now shows a pop-up asking if you want to connect to the keyboard.
Say yes, but again, don't hit anymore keys on the keyboard. PREONIC shows as connected. This doesn't seem to timeout. If you wait about 30 seconds before trying any keys, you'll see that they are never registered and the soft keyboard continues to show when text input is expected.
Forget the device and reply the steps in #3. Again, say yes but start hitting keys onthe keyboard.
Forget the device and replay the steps in #3. Again, say yes but start hitting keys on the keyboard. The first few won't register, but then thy do. The keyboard is completely connected and will work. It correctly connects and disconnect whe n the keyboard is powered off or is switched to another Bluetooth slot and back.
